From Classical Roots to Teaching the Next Generation
Hi! I am Aashami and I'd like to welcome you to my dance journey! Dance has been part of my life since I was a child, shaping my discipline, confidence, and creativity. From the elegance of Kathak to the expressive energy of Bollywood and the bold strength of hip hop, each style has helped me grow in different ways. Today, I share that passion as an instructor, guiding others to discover their own rhythm and confidence.
My dance journey began with Kathak as a child. The rhythmic footwork, expressive storytelling, and graceful spins shaped my foundation not just as a dancer, but as a performer. Kathak taught me discipline, tradition, and the beauty of classical art.
As I entered my teenage years, I fell in love with Bollywood dance. It brought energy, expression, and emotion to the stage. Bollywood allowed me to blend classical technique with dramatic storytelling and vibrant performance.
In high school, I stepped into the world of hip hop. This style pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me find confidence, strength, and individuality in my movement. Hip hop taught me power, musicality, and presence.
Today, I am proud to be a dance instructor. Teaching allows me to pass down everything I’ve learned — from the discipline of Kathak to the vibrance of Bollywood and the confidence of hip hop. Dance is no longer just something I do — it’s something I share.
